Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Highly Effective man podcast, hosted by former Navy SEAL, turned life and fitness coach. I'm your host, jp Bolwan. This podcast is your resource for unlocking the healthiest, most productive and highly effective man within you. Let's go. What's up, guys? Welcome back to the Highly Effective man podcast. I'm your host, jp Bolwan, former Navy SEAL and turned life and fitness coach. All right, guys? So I'm actually up in the San Francisco area this week. I just had surgery down in San Diego on my knee and just taking some time to recover, and we came up here to visit some of my wife's family and I'm recording from their house today, all right.

Speaker 1:

So what I wanted to talk to you guys about today is this masterclass that I'm creating and that I'm going to be putting on the school platform, all right, and I call it the Highly Effective man Masterclass. It's designed to help you conquer the challenges of life, break through barriers and become the best version of yourself. Life, break through barriers and become the best version of yourself. Okay, so this system is rooted in my personal experiences as a Navy SEAL, a college athlete, a firefighter and a coach, all right, and I believe it's the roadmap to build unshakable confidence, physical power and mental toughness and help you get clarity on your purpose. So the key topics we're going to talk about today is the five elements that I think are important to this system. Number one is constructing the warrior body. Number two, sharpening emotional resilience. Number three, identifying the higher purpose. Number four, operating with mental authority. And number five, seeking mentorship and coaching. So you know, after years of pushing myself, you know whether it be in the seals, the rugby field, as a firefighter, I realized that the secret to achieving anything it's not just about raw grit, it's about building a complete system, a system that I was building without really realizing and then just thinking about what I had done to accomplish the things that I've done. But you can't thrive in life unless you align your body, your emotions, your purpose and your mindset to support and the support of the right people. Okay, all of those are things that you need to accomplish big time goals. Okay, and my goal is simple, you know, with this is to help busy men like you who are stuck, overwhelmed or just maybe you're just coasting through life. I want to give you a structured system to unlock your full potential. It's not about perfection, you know. It's about consistent progress. So this masterclass is not just a course. It's a transformation framework designed to help you achieve peak performance in every facet of life. Think of it as a blueprint to build the life that you've always wanted.

Speaker 1:

So number one is constructing the warrior body. The warrior body, you know, back when I was transitioning from becoming you know, being a Navy SEAL to playing college football, I wasn't the tallest or the biggest guy on the field, right, I was 5'6". You know, 185 pounds, you know. And I had to rely on physical preparation to make the team right. Physical preparation and discipline and a strategy to outlast or outperform my competition. Right, I had to study film more. I had to make sure I was on the ball more those types of things, okay.

Speaker 1:

Your physical fitness is the foundation for everything. Okay, when your body is strong and your mind is going to be sharper and you can tackle challenges with more energy and confidence. So the warrior body isn't just about aesthetics, but it's about function, power and resilience. You want to design a body that you know is functional and can tackle anything that life throws at you, okay. So to construct a warrior body, you need a sustainable system. You know quick fixes and fads. Those aren't going to work. Okay, you need to focus on consistent, smart training and fueling your body with purpose, right. Constructing the warrior body is a body that is good at gymnastics, good at weightlifting, has a good cardio respiratory system. It's a lean, mean, getting shit done machine. Being able to do anything that life throws at you is what constructing the warrior body is all about.

Speaker 1:

Number two, sharpening emotional resilience. No-transcript, but it's about mastering your response to stress. Okay, life is always going to throw you curveballs. The key to learning to the key is learning to pause, process and respond instead of reacting impulsively. You know, to sharpen your emotional resilience, you need to train your mental and emotional muscles, just like your physical ones. Practices like journaling, mindfulness and, most importantly, the deliberate exposure to discomfort will help you prepare to handle any of life's toughest moments.

Speaker 1:

You know, and identifying a higher purpose is one of the biggest keys to this masterclass, right? So you know, after I left the teams, I kind of felt lost. You know, for years my purpose had been clear, right To serve, protect and push my limits right. It's very clear what you have to do when you're a Navy SEAL and for a lot of guys when they leave that it's tough because your whole life has been, you know, doing team guy stuff, and when you leave that it's like, okay, what do I do now? And sometimes a lot of those things just don't feel as, I guess, maybe rewarding or like they have as much purpose. So, without that mission, I kind of drifted a little bit, you know, until I discovered my new purpose, which is coaching and helping others. Right, I realized that, you know, my time as an instructor was one of my favorite times because it was me helping others succeed Right or not succeed Right If they're. If they're guys that you know you don't think that they should be, you know you don't think that they should be, you don't think that they have what it takes, or they're, I guess, demonstrating to you that they are not the right fit for the teams.

Speaker 1:

Ok, so your higher purpose is your North Star, right? It's the reason why you get out of bed every morning. Without it, life feels aimless and when you identify it, every decision becomes clear and your actions become intentional, right, like my life's purpose now is to help others, you know, become the best version of themselves, because that's what I'm trying to do with myself and I find a lot of reward in that with myself as I progress, and so I want to take the lessons that I've learned and the things that I've accomplished and help others do the same thing, right? So ask yourself what impact do I want to have? Right, who do I want to become? And reflect deeply. You know journal about it, and this is something that you can't rush, because it's the anchor for everything else that you do.

Speaker 1:

All right, number four operating with mental authority. Okay, when I started you know competing in jujitsu I realized that you know skill. That's a huge part of it, but it's not the only thing. Okay, I had to rely on my mindset on the mat and I had to trust that my training and decisive moves and make decisive moves without hesitation. Mental authority is about doing the things that you said you were going to do Creating routines so that you can have, and following through on those routines so that you can have, peak performance. It means taking control of your thoughts and your actions. It's about self-discipline, focus and confidence. You stop being the victim of circumstance and you start being the master of your life. Okay, so a lot of people walk around with this victim mindset, like you know well why me, or why did this happen to me. You know that type of thing and nothing happens to you. It kind of happens for you, right? You can either learn from the lesson or you can cry about it. All right. So, developing mental authority you do that through habits and goal setting. Okay, things like visualization or self-reflection. When you take ownership of your mind, no obstacle can stand in your way.

Speaker 1:

And the last part is seeking mentorship and coaching. You know, even as a coach, I seek guidance from mentors or other coaches. When I wanted to grow my business and reach more people, I turned to those who've already walked the path before me. They showed me shortcuts and helped me avoid costly mistakes like building out this class. I mean, I've gone to people to learn how to you know build this course, and it's still taking some time because you know you can't rush something. You have to make sure it's right and you have to put in the work, those types of things. But having a coach or a mentor has helped me save a lot of time. Okay, and nobody succeeds alone.

Speaker 1:

The most effective men surround themselves with others who push them, who challenge them and who hold them accountable. Right, when I put out these podcasts, it's not just for you guys that are listening, but it's also for me, right? These are all things that I research and I look into and things that I've been living and things that are reminders to me to continue to push myself and be accountable to the things that I say and the things that I want to do. Right? So find mentors who align with your goals and values. And, if you can't find someone in person, communities like the one that I'm building, the highly effective man community that's designed there for to provide that support right? If you want to be surrounded by highly effective men or men that are continually pushing themselves to be the best version of themselves, then get in there.

Speaker 1:

So, if these principles resonate with you, these five principles resonate with you, then join the Highly Effective man community on school. It's a tribe of driven men working together to build their warrior bodies, master their minds and live with purpose. It's where you're going to find accountability and the coaching that you need to thrive. It's where you're going to find accountability and the coaching that you need to thrive. So you know, and to kind of close this out, think of your life as like you're building a skyscraper, you know, and without a strong foundation, which is you know your body, clear blueprints, your purpose, and skilled architects, your mentors. The structure will crumble, but when all the pieces come together, you can build something incredible. Okay, here's your challenge.
